What's in store for international fundraising in 2026? 

2025 was a year of turbulence with funders tightening budgets, practitioners reimagining sustainability, and communities pushing for more equitable, trust-based relationships. Yet through the uncertainty, new forms of partnership, blended finance, and local leadership have begun to take root.

As we look toward 2026, we gathered to reflect on what we’ve learned, what’s shifting, and what collective traction looks like in a system in need of deep repair. Together, we explored new and trending models for partnership and collaboration, varied forms of impact capital for funding sustainability, relationship building that moves resources, and how funding is moving to more local and proximate leadership.
